About Us
The Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom has been created to build trust, respect, and relationships between Muslim and Jewish women of all ages. Together we commit to standing up for one another, educating one another about our faith and cultural practices, engaging in social justice action, and working to end acts of hate for all human beings.
MISSION
Based on our shared values, the mission of the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom is to build relationships between Muslim and Jewish women of all ages, to promote and advocate for human rights, and to end acts of hate for all human beings.
VISION
We envision a world where Muslim and Jewish people live without hate and where freedom, equality and social justice are within reach for all.

Our Beginnings
The Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom was founded in the summer of 2010 by one Jewish woman and one Muslim woman. Since then, the Sisterhood has grown to incorporate more than 170 Chapters, in 32 states, and over 5500 active members in our online community.
Since 2020 much of our programming has moved online, helping us broaden our reach and allowing for community building across the United States.
