Alice has been engaged in interfaith work for several decades, in both hospital and community settings. Her connection to the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom began in 2017.
Professionally, Alice is a licensed clinical social worker and certified dementia practitioner. She completed the Master of Social Work Program at the Rutgers University School of Social Work, where she also obtained a certificate in Aging and Health. Alice has been immersed in dementia care for over fifteen years in a variety of roles, including individual and family counseling, facilitation of support groups, and coordination of programs and services for people living with dementia and their families. She currently works at a New York City based academic medical center. Alice is a recipient of the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey Lester Z. Lieberman Humanism in Health Award for her work in Alzheimer’s/dementia.
