Summer Reading Series Event with Dr. Georgette Bennett
July 27 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT
Join us for our second reading series event on Monday, July 27th at 8 p.m. ET! Dr. Georgette Bennett will present an inspiring dialogue on concrete ways we can stand up to hate, based on the book, Confronting Hate: The Untold Story of the Rabbi Who Stood Up for Human Rights, Racial Justice, and Religious Reconciliation.
Dr. Bennett is the founder of the Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding and the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees. She will share ways that each of us, one sister at a time, can confront hate, utilizing the strategies developed by her late husband and international peacemaker, Rabbi Marc Tanenbaum. You will have the opportunity to ask questions of Dr. Bennett and to share with others in small conversation groups. You can purchase Confronting Hate, by Deborah Hart Strober & Gerald S. Strober, directly from the Tanenbaum Center website or from your local independent bookshop.
Register today to join us on July 27th!
