Fatima Argun is a strategy consultant, visionary, community activist, facilitator, author, bridge
builder and passionate advocate for interfaith engagement, civil dialogue, social justice and
women’s empowerment. Her career includes work at Senior levels of government, nonprofit
and private sector in international marketing, strategic planning, government relations,
management consulting, DEI and business development.

Fatima serves on various nonprofit Boards of Directors focused on building community and civil
dialogue through interfaith engagement and advocacy. She also serves in 2 leadership roles
with the Arlington Democrats, as Chair, Interfaith Outreach & Advocacy Caucus; and Chair,
Inclusion & Equity, and is an active member of the Arlington Interfaith Network. She also serves
on the Executive Board of the Turkish-American Women’s Political Action Committee
(TAWPAC). Fatima is a member of the DNC Ethnic Council, was elected as a 2020 Biden delegate
from Virginia, and serves the greater Arlington community as an elected Commissioner on the
Arlington County Human Rights Commission where she provides counsel on improving and
increasing equity in the County’s operations. Fatima is co-founder and former co-lead of the
Arlington, VA chapter of the Sisterhood. Fatima holds a MPA from the LBJ School and an MBA
from Johns Hopkins University–where she also studied conflict management at SAIS–and is
proficient in three languages. Fatima is also an accomplished visual artist and has exhibited her
abstract compositions in numerous venues across the DC metro area.
