Gia schultz, MHA
Assistant Director
With over fifteen years of experience in small business, healthcare, and nonprofit management,
Gia brings a deep commitment to process improvement and comprehensive project management
to her role as Assistant Director for the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom. Gia’s work is rooted in
equity and informed by her upbringing in the social and environmental justice movements. She is
an active volunteer, previous nonprofit board member, and former village commissioner, who
enjoys creating community, forming collaborations, and fostering belonging. Gia believes in the
power of community and shares the Sisterhood’s commitment to building bridges of solidarity
and understanding to end acts of hate.
Gia holds a BA in Women and Gender Studies from San Francisco State University and a
Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Originally
from California, Gia now lives with her family in the Chicago area where she enjoys native
gardening, frequenting her local sauna club, and year-round swimming in Lake Michigan.
