    “People of Israel” - ancient term - at least 2000 years old - unrelated to the contemporary State of Israel

    Aliyah

    Literally - “ascent.” Used to refer to a Jew immigrating to Israel from elsewhere in the world, because this is considered a spiritual ascent.
