Rachel Spilker

Rachel Stock Spilker has served as a cantor at Mount Zion Temple in St. Paul, Minnesota since 1997. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, she was ordained from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion’s School of Sacred Music.  She received her B.A. in Religious Studies from The University of Pittsburgh.

Rachel is founder and co-leader of the St. Paul SOSS chapter and is active in other interfaith and social justice work.  She serves on the Boards of The National Council of Jewish Women and Rimon:  The Minnesota Jewish Arts Council.  She is currently working to establish a liberal mikveh (a small pool for ritual immersions marking various life transitions) in the Twin Cities.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys yoga, art, music and reading.  Her husband, Adam, is the rabbi of the synagogue she serves.  She and Adam have three children,– Eiden, Mirit, and Liam.
