I have served as a cantor at Mount Zion Temple in St. Paul, Minnesota since 1997. I grew up in Pittsburgh, but I have also lived in a number of other places, including New York, London, Jerusalem, Amsterdam, and Boston. I’m sure that living in so many different cities, plus being the daughter of Bohemian musician parents with wanderlust, is what gave me my love of travel and learning about other cultures. In addition to travel, I enjoy yoga, walking, music, art, and reading. I am a co-leader of the St. Paul SOSS chapter, and I am active in other interfaith and social justice work, National Council of Jewish Women, and Rimon: The Minnesota Jewish Arts Council, among other organizations. I am currently working on establishing a liberal mikveh (a small pool for ritual immersions marking various life transitions) in the Twin Cities. My husband, Adam, is the rabbi of the synagogue where I serve as one of the cantors. We have three children, Eiden (almost 23), Mirit (21) and Liam (15).
