Racial Justice Action Group

The Racial Justice Action Group is committed to ensuring the Sisterhood is a safe space for Black women to share their personal narratives, concerns, and needs, and to making the Sisterhood a force that lifts and amplifies their voices. Our initial goal is to educate all sisters on anti-Black systemic racism, with a specific emphasis on the history of the Civil Rights Movement and the impact of racism on the voices and safety of Black Muslim and Black Jewish women. We will do this through:

  • Understanding personal racial biases
  • Learning about the history and impact of systemic racism, including racism in Jewish and Muslim communal spaces

We also will identify opportunities for action and advocacy through other organizations working to dismantle white supremacy.
