On August 11, two Sisterhood representatives from Richmond, Board member Lisa Halberstadt and co-leader Aliya Farooq spoke on a Stranger/Sister panel at the NWPC's Biennial Convention.
Lisa and Aliya were joined by Virginia State Senator Ghazala Hashmi, Donna Kent (President of NWPC), and Virginia State Delegate Eileen Filler-Corn. Members of the Sisterhood's two Richmond chapters attended the panel. The Sisterhood panelists spoke about their motivations for joining and experiences with the Sisterhood and examples of paradigm shifts they've experienced as a result of their Sisterhood connections.
