Vera sandronsky
Board Member

Vera Sandronsky, a native of Northern California, started her Sisterhood journey when
she joined a chapter in the Sacramento region in 2020. She worked as an attorney for
the Department of Water Resources for several years before her retirement in 2020. Her
long professional career was rewarding, and she has also loved the freedom of
retirement, which has allowed her to grow in new ways and contribute to organizations
and movements both locally and nationally to protect the human rights of all.

Vera has been active in the Jewish community in Sacramento and Davis and has been
a member of a synagogue for most of her adult life. She is on her synagogue’s Social
Justice Committee. Vera has found great richness in knowing people from other faith
backgrounds. She is on the board of the Celebration of Abraham, an interfaith
organization in Davis. The interfaith community has opened the door to important
friendships that have helped sustain her through both local and national challenges.
Vera was elected to the Sisterhood board in 2025 and is thrilled to expand her
commitment to the Sisterhood’s important work.

Vera has a creative writing practice and has published essays and poetry.
