Lil’ Amina and the Adventure of Grief

In this emotional children’s book, Lil’ Amina grapples with the complex emotion of grief after losing her mother. With help from Mrs. Moo and guidance from her grandfather, she learns to navigate and express her feelings, while also exploring how grief is expressed in their Islamic faith. The book, suitable for ages 5 and up, comes with a discussion guide to facilitate conversations about grief between adults and children. Co-authored by Christie Mann and Rachel Baldi, it embodies their shared passion for emotional resilience and spiritual growth. Rachel, the inspiration behind Lil’ Amina and a long-time Sisterhood leader, is an expert in grief and interfaith advocacy, providing valuable insights on love, grief, and the beauty of Islam.
